James Kitchens is a Florida based artist with two decades of experience in art and metal work. In addition to his extensive studies in art, Kitchens has a background in Anthropology, quantum physics, Eastern religions, and holds a degree in Philosophy. All of these play into the artist’s visual vocabulary through his use of symbols, colors, and natural materials on the copper surface. Kitchens not only uses natural pigments in lieu of paint, but the artwork is sealed with a low VOC varnish, making the work Eco-friendly.

The artwork can be found in various public collections, as well as many corporate collections such as Ritz Carlton, Seasons 52 Restaurants, Lowes, and Wachovia Bank. Kitchens' art can also be seen in art galleries and private collections across the United States and in Europe, from Scotland to Spain.
